Oklahoma City Brunch Guide

Updated March 2026 · BestOKC Editorial

Oklahoma City's brunch scene has grown up. What started as a handful of diners serving pancakes on Sunday mornings has evolved into one of the city's most competitive meal periods — with independent restaurants offering creative menus, bottomless options, and the kind of weekend atmosphere that makes it worth setting an alarm.

Where to Brunch in OKC

Midtown

Midtown is the epicenter of OKC's brunch culture. The neighborhood's independent restaurant density means you have real options within walking distance, and the vibe on weekend mornings — patio tables, coffee, unhurried service — is exactly what brunch should feel like. Expect creative plates, strong cocktail programs, and waits on sunny Saturdays.

Bricktown

Several Bricktown restaurants run strong brunch services, particularly on game days and during Bricktown Ballpark season. The canal-side options are especially popular — outdoor tables fill fast on warm weekend mornings.

Plaza District & Uptown 23rd

The indie corridors along NW 16th and NW 23rd have produced some of OKC's most interesting brunch menus. Smaller spots, more experimental dishes, and a local crowd that takes their weekend mornings seriously.

What to Order

  • Chicken and waffles — A Southern staple done well across multiple OKC spots. The sweet-savory combination has serious local following.
  • Migas — OKC's proximity to Texas and a strong Tex-Mex influence means excellent migas at several restaurants. Scrambled eggs with tortilla strips, cheese, and peppers.
  • Bottomless mimosas — A weekend institution at a handful of OKC spots. Budget 2 hours minimum if you're going the bottomless route.
  • Biscuits and gravy — Oklahoma comfort food at its finest. White gravy, house-made biscuits, and a portion size that will carry you through the afternoon.

Brunch Tips

  • Go early or late: Peak brunch rush in OKC is 10am–12:30pm Saturday and Sunday. Arrive before 10 or after 1 to skip the wait at popular spots.
  • Check hours: Many OKC brunch spots are weekend-only. Confirm before driving.
  • Patio season: April–October, OKC's patio brunch game is exceptional. Come warm weather, every spot with outdoor seating fills up fast on nice days.
